If you google map it today. 1) The actual murder site is labeled as the entrance to the Vallejo Police Shooting Range, correct? Actually, my google is labeling the little parking area as the Lake Herman Road site now. Think google has learned that I’m looking at it in relation to the case. Don’t think it labeled it that way before. And another general question. 2) I’m assuming Reservoir Road was there back in ’68, correct? Just a general ponderance. Nothing earth shaking. So he could have headed toward Benicia and turned on Reservoir and ended up heading back toward Vallejo or American Canyon or Mare Island. Might make sense. I kind of think if I had just done that I would want to get off that road as soon as possible and that may be the way I go. Anyway, so just because no one saw him heading toward Columbus Pkwy doesn’t mean he definitely went toward the Benicia/Martinez/Concord area. One more thing. 3) 680, 780, and 80 were all there back then, correct?

1. I believe the Benicia range is found in that area.

2. Reservoir Road was there in 1968. It was called Old Lake Herman Road. Zodiac certainly could have exited that way, Stella Medeiros and the 6 minute window of time was calculated based on James Owen passing the turnout at 11.14 pm and her passing at 11.20 pm. If Zodiac committed the murders and left the turnout at 11.15-11.16 pm then he should have passed Stella Medeiros as she traveled to Benicia, had he headed to Vallejo- but she reported passing no vehicles. Hence the belief Zodiac headed to Benicia. However, this timeline is questionable and could be as large as 11-12 minutes, allowing Zodiac to exit either way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymbQCOrOdrQ
3. Highway 680 was built in 1920’s. Interstate 780- 1935. Interstate 80 was designated in 1956. So all three were there in 1968/9.

Thank you sir for the input. What I was postulating I guess on the route taken is he could’ve left the turnout heading east toward 680 and took a right on Reservoir and then a right on E. 2nd St and on down to a right on 780 and headed back up to Vallejo/American Canyon area that way and would never pass Stella.
