Zodiac Killer Site is & always has been a community that works together. Not sure why you are saying, we have to become a community that works together? We’ve been a strong community for years, mostly in our private forum & recently opened it to add more minds to our community.
We all have our own thoughts & ideas on the Zodiac case & tend to research & work on things that interest us & also to help other team members. I can’t count how many times I went to Vallejo, Berkerly, San Francisco & etc to pick up material to help other members with their research & I know others that have done the same.

Zam yep best Z board around and ran by great people that just want to solve the case with no personal gain in mind!

I took Wood’s comment about the Zodiac community to be an olive branch that was extended, perhaps because of past activity which resulted in Wood’s banning on the old forum. It also seems to me that a very few people took that olive branch and slapped her with it.

I don’t know wood and perhaps you might be right Seagull. However, I took it a different way. I don’t think she meant it in an attack because I don’t think anyone would deny that there are quite a few people here who go above and beyond to help others – you being one of the few. So I dont think anyone should be on the offensive. I looked at what she said as a wish that there was more of a collaborate effort to break down all of the information regarding the Zodiac, getting rid of anything that is wasted energy (permanently) and, as a team, putting all of our efforts into locating him. For example, the blue pens. What career choice or personal reason would the Zodiac feel the need to use that specific brand or color. From there, we would then say, OK, how does any of the information we have come up with relate to something else the Zodiac might have done? Is there a bigger picture that can be gleemed? Then take it further as a team rather than each man for himself kind of thing. I think an approach such as that and, I don’t mean any disrespect to you Morf as I do love your site but, it would certainly set this site or any site for that matter, apart from the rest.

There was no blood on the car door. Someone should check the owner of the car.

The Riverside poem was written about a previous victim who survived, one to whom he gave an ‘uncertain death’. I can’t quite remember her name as I’ve been up all night!
I’ll be back. Goodbye.

This is two odd posts by you. Who’s name?

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

Not sure if this is what zydeco was on about
Betsy Aardsma (July 1947-November 1969), was killed by a single knife wound to the heart, in the campus library of Pennsylvania State University, by an unknown assailant or assailants between 4.30 and 4.45pm

Well, whatever else the poem may refer to, it certainly can’t be Betsy A. She was murdered at least a couple of years after the earliest date on which the poem could have been written.

I don’t think the writer refers to a murder attempt at all, and the tense used (for the description of the “she” who won’t die this time, but will be found) doesn’t jibe with a past victim who survived either – but that’s a different debate.

It can’t be Betsy, at any rate.

All I’m saying is, this poem was about an earlier victim, and poor Cheri Jo was the ‘next time’. I’m sorry! but I am the world’s worst researcher, because I am a technophobe and useless with computers. I didn’t mean to sound odd.

I’ve been lurking here for months, and I think this earlier victim, who survived, was discussed on a forum. Someone will find it.

(In my opinion, the poem is based on ‘Lady Lazarus’. Technically, it’s a good poem.)

Yes, that could very well be, in a general sort of way. Plath would no doubt have been an inspiration for many trying their hands at a dark, modernistic poem back in the day.

But Lady Lazarus is a poem about suicide, briefly summarized.

There was another girl at RCC who was attacked, but her attacker was in jail at the time of Cheri’s murder.
