Zydeco; don’t be disheartened .. its the way the site operates.. I am relatively new too. I see the frustrations of the old timers and the wheel of monotony coming back to old stuff and the crypto chat. I was the same .. what is needed is clarity and points of interest with no double meanings and having to work things out.. sometimes you need to use the search system at the top of the page and catch up on the topic at hand.. maybe a bit more explanation in your posts as well.

Someone got the cartoonist’s name wrong, and I wondered if we know who owned the car. I think the problem is that I haven’t worked out how to reply to individual comments, so just tack mine onto the end! (I’m old.) Do we click on quote? Sorry I’m useless.

Yes, if you click quote you will reply to that person’s post, but you can still respond to each person and subject individually (without the "quote function) in your post so that we know what you are talking about and/or referring to.
