Here are a couple of website that might be useful:
The first is a website to search for mailboxes (blue boxes) in San Francisco:
https://mailboxlocate.com/states/CA/cit … 0FRANCISCO
Granted, there’s probably no way to know if these are the same locations 50 years ago.
The second is for finding specific collection boxes (blue boxes). What’s interesting is they indicate their pick up times. Again, no way to know if this is the same as it was 50 years ago.

These are good finds. My recollection from back in the day is that most boxes had 2 pickups per day, on the weekdays, and then typically just one on Saturdays. There was a point at which USPS scaled everything back, including that 2nd daily pickup.
I did look in directories from the same but they did not contain addresses. The was one quote in there which said see White pages.
If you go to this one, click on the dropdown menu under Location Types — select Collection Boxes, enter the Zip — such as 94118, hit enter.
Hey, guys. I think it’s important to keep at this. I have started another thread that lays everything out for everyone to see if we can find connections and patterns.
Couple things to note:
Hayes Valley only has one collection box in the whole neighborhood. That’s on the corner of Fell St. and Van Ness.
Miraloma Park only has two. One is at the entrance of Mt. Davidson park and the other is on some random residential intersection.
Balboa Terrace only has three.
Richmond has dozens.
If these collection box locations are the same now as 50 years ago, it might be possible to deduce which exact mailbox he was likely to use.

Nice work. Do you know which corner of Fell and Van Ness? That would help determine direction of travel.

Northwest corner of Fell and Van Ness. Right next to the offices of the San Francisco Unified School District.
ETA:
There are also schools located very near collection boxes in Miraloma and Balboa Terrace.
Miraloma Elementary School
175 Omar Way
San Francisco, CA 94127
near
Collection Box
400 Molimo Drive
San Francisco, CA 94127
Walking Distance/Time: 0.2 miles/3 minutes
and
Aptos Middle School
105 Aptos Avenue
San Francisco, CA 94127
near
Collection Box
599 Upland Drive
San Francisco, CA 94127
Walking Distance/Time: 161 feet/1 minute
So, you have potentially three drop spots located adjacent to schools or school offices.

That’s well done. Not sure anyone has nailed down that specific mailbox before as a Zodiac drop. That’s the only one in 6B, currently?

Yes, that appears to be the only one in 6B. Double check my work to make sure that’s accurate.
On the same tanget as the schools…in Richmond there are multiple public schools within walking distance of a collection box. That may simply be due to the large number of blue boxes in that area.
The school thing could be an interesting coincidence.

Also by the court house, wasn’t Nancy Bennallack s court reporter. May be worth checking the court records for the two dates ?
I wonder if Belli was there on those dates ?
While we don’t have all of the mailing locations from all the letters, I think we can use some deductive reasoning to draw some conclusions. Fact check me:
We don’t have drop off locations for:
Bus Bomb
Belli
Little List
Dragon Card
I think the Bus Bomb letter was also mailed from 4A (Balboa Terrace) because the Dripping Pen letter was mailed from that same location the day before.
I think the Little List letter was mailed from 6B Hayes Valley because the Johns letter was mailed two days prior from that same location and the next letter after came from there as well.
The Dragon card only has an H which narrows down the possibilities. I think it was mailed from 4H Miraloma because the My Name is Letter was mailed from nearby Balboa Terrace a week before and I can almost make out a "4" next to the B.
The Belli letter is the only postmarked letter that we have nothing to go on.
Thoughts?

If I was a betting man, I would guess it was done close to Belli’s address on Montgomery st. I say this due to the writing on the envelope, as previously discussed, matching the lettering font of address sign on Belli’s house.

(Again, a technicality, but it’s the "Richmond District."
(Not to be confused with Richmond — which is a city — and is discussed sometimes in Zodiac speculation.)

Yes, I was aware of this, but you’re right. Some may confuse the two.
Still, the Richmond district – both Inner and Central – have dozens of blue collection boxes. Much more than the other mentioned neighborhoods.
