Right, yeh you’re right upon reading, apparently, Luger could refer to the ammunition . . . When he referenced "shot with a 9mm Luger" in reference to Darlene Ferrin And Mike Mageau, he could have been referring to the ammo, not the gun, but also, maybe not? Z shot 5 shots initially at Mike and Darlene, walked away then fired 4 more, the Luger has a capacity of 8 shots, but he could have swapped the mag.

And maybe Mike was right about a silencer, and maybe the fact that Mike didn’t die made the Zodiac switch weapons and not use a silencer again?

I dunno, I’m just stirring the pot haha.

The P08 German Luger holds 8 rounds in the magazine (clip) and you can preload 1 round in the chamber, So it is possible to
fire 9 rounds from the German Luger without reloading.

Funny thing about the 9mm round, some brands of 9mm ammo are labeled "9mm Luger" and others are labeled "9mm Parabellum"
both are the exact same ammo just different names ! So when Z wrote of "9mm Luger" he may have only been referencing his
pistols caliber and not it’s make and model.

As far as the exact make and model of the 9mm pistol Z used, I don’t think they were able to determine the exact make and model
of pistol used just by examining the spent cases recovered from the crime scene.

Right about not knowing the exact gun. I thought I read they had a list of possibilities, one an astra, and the other a browning. There were others on the list but I can’t remember what they were. All were foreign except the browning.
