Yes, I noticed him right away also. I was in Vietnam in 70-71. I noticed right away that the 13 cipher ends in NAM. Maybe Zodiac served in Nam in 67-68? Maybe NAM is just spelled out. So far what I have come up with is Arniem?emes?NAM. The first m and the s might be wrong Arnie _eme_ NAM.

It’s a big assumption to assume Zodiac had the intelligence and education enough to work at Skaggs. I’d suggest that evidence indicates he was of average or less intelligence.

Would someone of less than average intelligence be talking about magnetic north or radians? Would they pepper their letters with deliberate spelling mistakes?

It might be nothing, but Skaggs had a computer programming school running out of it since at latest June of 1968. The program that I refer to was called "GYK-3," "GYK3" or other variants of that. It reminded me of the fact that we see "GYK" appear in the fourth line of the Examiner section of the 408 cipher, which was sent to Skaggs Island for consideration. Something to look into. I would like help identifying the names of the gentlemen in these photos if anyone knows (I know a few of the names, and have contacted at least one person who attended the school, but would like to reach out just in case we can find the rest):

A few days ago, before I came across this site and its Skaggs Island theory, I did the following:

I drew a line from Lake Berryessa down to the streets where Stine was killed in San Francisco. Of course two points make a straight line and this straight line goes right through San Pablo Bay, which Skaggs Island Naval borders.

Then, to complete the cross of the Zodiac sign, I drew a line starting from Vallejo (or Benicia, they both work) and bisected the vertical line from Berryessa & SF. This completes a perfect Cross and…
if you follow the point from Vallejo across it leads directly to… Skaggs Island Naval. Skaggs Island Naval makes the perfect 4th point of the Cross.

Only after this revelation did I learn: (1) Skaggs Island Naval did decoding and (2) Upon receipt of the Hardens’ decipher the Vallejo PD sent it to Skaggs Island Naval to verify

If the Cross is the Key, then the SF killing was one of necessity, to make the second demarcation point from Lake Berryessa. If he had chosen Walnut Creek, for example, the line would not go through San Pablo Bay or through Skaggs Island. So the SF killing of Stine was to create an end point from Lake Berryessa. The prior killings were all young couples, in isolated spots. Stine was older and alone and in the middle of a city. But being in a Cab meant the Zodiac could choose the exact site of the killing, and mark that spot to Lake Berryessa. Stine was just a means to (1) mark the bottom spot and (2) obtain evidence to use so all future communications from him could be readily verified by the Chronicle and SFPD. Stine’s shirt was the only artifact he ever provided to an outsider.

One thing I have not checked: Whether the radians (from Mount Diablo or the X of the Cross) hit NOT Vallejo as the popular theory goes but hit Skaggs Island (if any one has the proper tool, please check it out).

Remember, in his first Cipher he said it would give his name. He did – at the bottom was the the Zodiac sign with the Cross in it. Once you have all 4 spots to make The Cross it ultimately reveals a connection to Skaggs Island.

Was he a worker there? Was he fired? Did he apply for work there and was turned down and so he created his Ciphers to show they made a mistake in rejecting him?

Also, by placing the Cross through these 4 points, one can then create a diamond inside (Berryessa to Vallejo, Vallejo to SF, SF to Skaggs, Skaggs to Berryessa). And the diamond can break down into triangles, facing up, facing down). If he like ciphers, creating this diamond effect rovides plenty of additional symbols out of the Zodiac sign itself.

One final thought. The Zodiac mentions "Paradice" numerous times. What if he meant Paradise, California. If you continue the line from SF to Lake Berryessa that straight line )depending upon where you cross Lake Berryessa) goes right to… Paradise, CA. Perhaps there is also a connection between the Zodiac and Paradise, CA in addition to Skaggs Island?

Get out a map, it’s interesting to think about.
