As I have mentioned in previous posts I was born in S.F. and live here still. Was 15 years old in 1968 and did my share of parking with my girlfriend wondering about the Zodiac. I went to school also with Lindsey Robbins and remember him talking about this when he had his personal experience with the Zodiac killer.
I was walking around the area across from Julius Kahn the other morning and got to thinking. Thoughts were about different ideas and theories of the case. Particularly the possible involvement of neighbors around this area being suspected of being Z or helping his escape, hiding him afterwards.
My thoughts turned to how would people really feel if one day someone found something up in the attic of the house they just bought that solved the case. I’m sure for some time there would be books written on the suspect and other aspects of the case. Much discussions on this and other sites. However at some point there wouldn’t be much left to discuss. I myself am more of a casual participant in all of this. I would be as interested as everyone else but after a point would move on and remember this as an interesting and long time intriguing experience. For others this has been a large focus of their time and lives. I wonder what peoples thoughts on this are.

Good question… There are so many people so dedicated to trying to solve this case it even consumes their lives (we have seen people getting divorced because they were so obsessed with this case spending more time on it then on their own lives).

What if we find out who Zodiac was? Would the ones who were consumed by it think it was all worth it when it isn’t their suspect?

You wouldn’t happen to know Xenophon Anthony, would you?

Hi Charlie Martin,
My friend Jim was probably the only person to ever get an extensive interview with Lindsey. When we showed him a picture of someone who lived in that neighborhood in 2003, whom Lindsey did not know in 1969, he had a very strong, visceral type reaction to the photo and said that he was the closest to the person that he saw in and around the cab of anyone he has ever seen up to that point.

I’ve been trying to prove that this person was the Zodiac for 20 years and it’s a very difficult uphill climb because he was so wealthy and that creates immediate prejudice in the minds of both the public and the police. If you’re interested in more I have an e-book out called The Hunt for Zodiac.

Mike,
I am familiar with your research and interest in mr. X. Actually that was what I was thinking of mostly but also some other thoughts about scenarios where whoever Z truly is was perhaps helped escape detection that night. I am ordering your book from Amazon.
I hope this following is okay to ask. Do you know of anyway to look at columns from society columnists such as Herb Caen, Count Marco, Pat Steger, also woman named Zellerbach. I am trying to find the identity of a prominent society figure who died in 1982.

Thanks charliemartin
