Theoretical analysis, I used the scale below the map. Open for help. (And please, it’s just theory!!)
Interestingly this map are two things, the measure of the vertical line (south / north) is exactly proportional to the scale below the left on the map. Another thing is that the parallel measure, which draws method of repetitions in frequencies of letters or symbols, form exactly one isosceles triangle, starting from the Hermam Lake – Monte Diablo – and the end of the horizontal line (20). I may be completely wrong, but as I say this site is just theories, open to suggestions.

It appears as if Z used a ruler when he had drawn his mag north symbol…indeed it seems to be about one inch long and wide.

Hey QT :)
I can not see well what is written on the scale on the map, but I can see by, is in inches, for a total of 8 inches. (I am not sure) the north-south line is proportional to this scale, since the horizontal line is proportional to the start of the number 3 to the beginning of the number nine … it would be a clue?! (do not know) There are people smarter here, who can try other ways. But it is at least curious, I guess ….
thanks
ps: every inch is a mile (i think )

On the map is written:

Scale: One inch is approximately 80 miles.

The first two parts of the scale is 10, the later three therefore 20 miles..all totalling up to 80 with the scale being one inch long.

Have you seen this thread chaps? It’s good to see the original sizes of the map expressed.
viewtopic.php?f=60&t=215
And the end of this thread may give you an idea of exactly how big the written "code" is. The size and spacing of the letters, I mean. Probably.

(I’m saying that I doubt the letter with the code in is shown "actual size" in any of the images on the web. Perhaps it is. It would need checking.)

Very cool, thanks for the tips!!

Yes, undoubtedly, only original documents could observe something, but I noticed the map, which, if it was well-scanned (the original) must maintain some proportion (I think) with the scale (I do not speak of the codes pasted) , in qualqer size of the scanned original will this keep proportion with the circle cross on mount diablo. (I think)

These links indicated that u are great, I’ll read and see everything!! . again, thank Smith

And thanks for the explanation QT!!
