My fault. I was sure he had gloves on. I checked the sketch and yes , he was not wearing gloves. but it had stuck in my memory that he was. After few hours Irealized that Fincher put gloves in the movie. Sorry. Why did he do that?

Thanks for that, saved me a search. That’s a strange one, a palm print and yet no finger prints. I can’t envisage a scenario where someone using that phone would only leave a palm print. Could be a partial successful attempt to wipe the receiver clean of prints.
