"I think we are talking generalities, not specifics. Betty Lou’s feet were to the west, and the car was in an "Easterly direction". What is your concern UK? (asking genuinely…not sarcastically ;) )"

Everybody can see from this top photograph that if Betty Lou Jensen’s feet were facing west, the Rambler couldn’t possibly be facing east. This may not be important to some people Tahoe, it is not going to solve the case, but just like everybody pointing out the Graysmith myths, I believe it is important that we pass on the correct facts to the next Zodiac generation, as opposed to accepting falsehoods. The direction the Rambler was facing isn’t going to change a thing, but if we keep accepting the claims it was facing east and Betty Lou was 28 feet from the car, then we may as well throw all facts out of the window and just start inventing things. This is a murder case, where facts, details and accuracy are important, this is the basis of true crime investigation, but I guess from what the Zodiac case has now become these days, facts and science are the enemy and myths create the story, and for that I am truly sorry. The photograph proves unequivocally that the Rambler wasn’t facing east, but I guess the truth doesn’t matter any more. My concern Tahoe, is that facts matter. If they don’t, then I am clearly not not on the right forum, where I thought the idea was searching for the truth.

I hope you know I didn’t mean to offend you. I agree the facts of the case are very important and appreciate your efforts.

The police report states (and I quote), "pointing in an Easterly direction". It doesn’t read, "pointing East". Just that it is Easter-ly.

Photos sure can be deceiving, and it might just appear she is closer. than it looks. It doesn’t help we have 10′ and 28′. She was surely shot at a closer range, which is probably why one bullet passed through her. She continued on before she fell. Maybe this is where the discrepancy lied. I have no idea. While I think it was very important to get things right…they failed to do this on more than one occasion.

To all….

Well you all have done it to me now. I thought this was always a slam dunk according to the photos, where Betty Lou’s body was found, but now i’m confused. I always thought Betty Lou was shot trying to run towards the road heading W. and she was found 28′ beyond the back of the Rambler. But in this pic it seems to me that Betty Lou was found to the left of where the lone cop is standing which is to the left of the Rambler going away from the road, there’s a marker on the ground to the left of that cop, isn’t that the blood stain right next to the marker? I thought when Mrs. Ramirez sees Betty Lou’s body it’s right off the road, and her headlights picked her up. If in fact Betty Lou’s body was actually to the left of the lone cop, I don’t think it would be possible for Mrs. Ramirez to see her. Betty lou would be in pitch darkness 30′ in from the road?

Hi Bay…

Lundblad is here in the forefront pointing to where David was found. The background (I assume is Butterbach) standing near where Betty Lou was located.

Looks like she just ran parallel to the car and was running toward the road (which is shown heading down toward Vallejo) rather than toward the gated area.

That turn-out is much smaller than it appears and I can see how the headlights would have illuminated the scene.

Do we agree that the view in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI0jnsbZwys&t=252s
at 4:12 looks across the turnout from the pushpin on the left to the one on the right? The stakes in the fence in the background in the image at 4:12 appear to me to be the stakes of the fence on the bank. Do we agree on that? Just want to make sure we are on the same page.

In the photo of Les and Russ pointing to the bloodstains in the above link, the blood from DF appears to run at right angles to the road towards the gate, thus providing orientation. If such is the case, then how can the car be facing towards the gate? I must be pretty thick, lol.

Hi All…

I tried to clean up this thread a little bit. I did not want to leave up any of the FALSE photoshopped images from the Crack-Proof website. Whether they were created by them, or someone else, it is never a good idea to keep posting altered images. I would like to thank UKSpycatcher for noticing this and bringing it to our attention.

I decided to leave some of the conversation since I think it is important for people to realize that site is/was offering bogus photos.

Please let me know if any of you think any other posts of yours, mine, or anyone else’s should be removed…and feel free to edit yours as well, of course!
