The film’s story is told in bracketing sequences at a lecture given at a PTA meeting by high school principal, Dr. Alfred Carroll. At the end of the film, he tells the parents he has been talking to that events similar to those he has described are likely to happen again, and then points to random parents in the audience and warns that "the next tragedy may be that of your daughter … or your son … or yours, or yours …" before pointing straight at the camera and saying emphatically "… or YOURS!" as the words "TELL YOUR CHILDREN" appear on the screen.

Yes – I see what you’re getting at. But it’s pretty general, wouldn’t you agree? There’s nothing there (in either Hautz or Confession) which leads directly back to that particular movie. You could say the tone is somewhat similar (Hautz) and the (very) general commonality of a warning (of very different kinds) being issued is obviously to be found in all three.

But unless I’m overlooking something, this isn’t what you’d call a compelling similarity between the three texts.

And Patricia Hautz…well, unless you can prove otherwise it seems to me that she was just a student who wrote a letter to the editor, expressing a fairly commonplace view.

See, here’s where I stand on this (generally): You can’t interpret the Z case as though it were a work of art. It may have been a work of art to Z – and that is something we can take into consideration, sure – but it can’t be to us. We can’t treat it as a series of literary devices which can be construed in any number of (equally valid) ways. Patricia Hautz isn’t a metaphor – she’s a real person. Either she wrote that letter or she didn’t. Either she is involved somehow, on some level, or she isn’t.

See what I mean? It’s impossible to discuss something like this if one party deals in facts and the other party deals in the often vague enough interpretation of both facts and fiction.

Well, that is up to you. But it’s surely at least partly the point of joining a forum like this?

As others have mentioned, there’s a "top secret" section here in which you can disclose information which won’t be picked up by Google bots and whatnot. So, yes, why not share your finds?

The way things look at present, your efforts aren’t appreciated as well as they might be – because people resent the fact that you seem to hint at more than you tell. In a general sense – as a general approach, if you will – much of what you offer has merit. The problem begins when you seemingly indicate that particular persons are involved – without following such hints up with anything remotely substantial.

But I think this has been pointed out sufficiently by now. You do as you deem best. Personally, though, I would very much encourage you to lay the cards on the table – if you have a particular suspect in mind, or at least a particular idea about what links A to B, then I don’t see what you have to lose by disclosing this so that others can comment on your ideas.

I personally don’t think Z is around but still possible of course. My money is on deceased! Elvis could have fake his death as well and is in his 80’s now but refer to what I just mentioned about Z. maybe BB does know something we don’t. Anyhow I think I seen in one of BB’s Quatrains saying about Zodiac Learn how to change his voice ? Curious is BB implying that that was the real Zodiac that talk live to Belli ? I still like BB for there entertainment value.
