My translation of the bomb cipher is: DIG UP CLEW: DAY OF "I FORGOT MY JACK" HOAX

It’s an anagram for:

DIG UP CLEW: DAY OF "I FORGOT MY JACK" HOAX

My readng of this translation is that he told Kathleen Johns that he didn’t have a jack and that’s why he couldn’t fix her tire and needed to give her a ride. Of course, he used the jack to loosen her tire in the first place.

Johns actually occurred the day after the very first EARTH Day was announced by the SF mayor. I think it might have something to do with Earth Day and the planting of the bomb. I say this knowing that it is grist for TK’s mill.
