This was just a suggestion for an alternative because of the issues of SpiderBasic. Well…admittedly…a bit of dreaming about such a tool was also part of it
A new AZdecrypt update (1.12) has been added to the main page.
What is new?
– Optimized "nulls and skips" solver with the help of smokie treats.
– Updated Reddit n-grams. This however increased the download to about 560 megabytes.
– Much faster Solver performance mode, which can be toggled on or off from the Options menu.
– Fixed an issue with the "row bound" solver so that it now correctly displays the "N-grams" and "PC-cycles" statistics scores.
– AZdecrypt determines the number of CPU threads available to your system and automatically assigns 3/4 of it to the solvers. The number of CPU threads can still be changed through the Options, Solvers menu.
– Support for up to 65536 CPU threads.
– Slightly overhauled look and feel.
– Fixed lots of small issues.
Thank you for the new version Jarlve! The logo is really cool!
always good to see you genius guys continuing on these updates, cheers
Thanks Largo and Mr lowe.
Someone contacted me with the request to make my solver support cribbing.
Here is a working version of that: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Rmnfz … Qsxf800MVM
Unzip it in the AZdecrypt folder. The solver is called "Substitution + crib". Put the crib in CAPS in the Output window and the cipher in the Input window as usual and then click Solve. The solver will find the best position for the crib according to the constraints of the cipher. The crib must be in one word such as "ILIKEKILLING".
It also contains some of the menu refurbishments that I am working on for version 1.13.
Try this version if you have any problems: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1T-0Sp … ZBEG8bn3yp

Interesting. All this technical stuff is beyond me but I figure you’d have a shot at decryption with keywords like "PARADICE", "SLAVES", "ZODIAC" etc.

I am not sure if it will help much with the 340 but it is just something extra to play around with.
I have added support for multiple cribs for the Substitution + cribs solver. A hill climber then tries to put these cribs in place. Such a solver could be useful with high multiplicity ciphers when some words are known or guessed correctly. The hill climber has to use these words and they cannot overlap positions. That sort of lowers the multiplicity when the words are correct.

Preview of another cribbing project in the works:
The editable crib grid on the right allows you to lock symbols to letters and then solve the cipher as such.
Wow, very cool new feature! Thanks, Jarlve.
Thank You for adding this Jarl!
Thanks guys.
It is still in the works but you can try it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vO-Yv … uv8hezuIVq This is a standalone .exe that needs the base 1.12 install to work.
Open a cipher and then click on Substitution + crib grid to bring it up. Fill in your cribs and click on Solve or Solve with cribs.
Great Jarlve you are forever changing it up.. I am looking forward to using this on an old partial "solve" on Doranchac`s solver, will have to dig back a few years.
cheers all
