The disruption of the line with the displaced ‘h’ may yet provide a clue to how the z340 was enciphered––as I think you suggest in the video––he doesn’t simply omit a character by accident, but transposes it to the end of the line.
Also, while the whole "life is death" or "death is life" debate makes little difference to the overall meaning of the message, it would be logically consistent with Zodiac’s earlier statement, "I am not afraid of the gas chamber" to end the message with "death is life" (since by his perverse rationalisation, he would be powerful in the afterlife). I know this adds very little to your achievement. Yet I wonder if the "Life is" portion was moved so that the message could end with the enciphered "ZODIAK" signature.
I’m sure this has been debated to death elsewhere.
