I dug this up from some posts on both this site and my blog.
For me, the connection between Z and Poe’s cipher is undeniable.
3 interesting things:
1- The "Gold Bug" cipher is 204 in size without space, exactly half the Z 408. can be divid in 12 lines of 17
2- The message itself is an orientation to find something (Z 32)
3- In the message reference is made ,"A good glass in the bishop’s hostel in the devil’s seat", Monte Diablo in addition to orienting to the "north" in another stretch "by north
main branch seventh limb east side"
This, for me at least, is something that indicates, that, from the mount diablo something is indicated. They can be bodies, box with codes, both etc.
Anyway, we will only know if someone finds something material about it, which would be very interesting.

Some time ago I noticed the proportion between the northern line drawn over Monte Diablo and the scale of the same map.
Remember, any image, by logic, decreasing or increasing, keeps the same size in its elements.

Z said the code referred to inches that should be measured along the radians
To have a radian, we must have a circle by logic.
A long time ago, in my research I noticed that the north arrow is exactly the size of the map scale (below this)
The scale size is 8 inches.
I SPECULATE that the circle is this, with a radius of 4 inches, and the circumference of the circle is 25.12 inches. (C = 2 · π · r)

Hi ,
I noticed that a 17-inch straight line from the point on the monte diablo to the Lake Herman road , roughly speaking, it is practically next to the crime scene.
Some point very close.
I did this taking into account number 17, which is closely linked to the case.
Yes, I know, many people have their theories based around the locations of Z’s crimes, but here, I just make a practical observation, basically, some point on the road … it is "exactly" 17 inches from Monte Diablo having the map that Z as a basis.

Hello, I thought it was strange, or I’m not seeing something and I’m wrong, but the scale of the map doesn’t match the real distance.
escale in map 1 inche = 6,4 miles
I noticed that from Lake Herman until the 680 exit, on the PHILIPS map it would be 12.8 miles (roughly) and on google maps it would be only 2.5 miles.
??? !!!
Is this map, in any way, a manufacturing error (with respect to scale annotation), or anything close to that?
