Is your cipher tool cellphone friendly. I can’t seem to get it to bring up my keyboard when I tap on a symbol.

The Zodiac case is too big for a phone. Use a real computer.

I want to solve the z340 while at work during lunch.

At the moment, Cipher Explorer is mainly a highlighting and markup tool for ciphers. It’s not yet built for solving.
The webtoy has the solving feature where you can click a symbol to replace it with a letter. Not sure how well it works on mobile though.

doranchak. the cipher explorer is a very good visual aid. is there a possabilty you could install a programme that pushes each row or column across or down a place .. or could we drop our own period movement into it. say period 19 …or link it to your period calculator..
cheers

Good suggestions – I’ll add them to the "requested features" list.
You should try Largo’s "Peek-a-boo" tool. I think it does a lot of transformation visualizations.

Reminds me of a video I saw a while back, where a guy uses some logic to decode the 340 into a picture of ducks:

I love the ducks picture! I wouldn’t know how to evaluate the statistical significance of the pattern it highlights linking the RJI_IJR and B.CVC.B sequences but I don’t think cross column patterns would emerge if there was actually a coherent message to decipher. On the other hand I can’t imagine why Zodiac would impose it so maybe it is just another bizarre coincidental feature. Anyways, it was a cool video!
