Why did Zodiac mail postcards to the Chronicle? When you think of postcards, you think of vacation and/or travelling right? Did Zodiac travel a lot? Or did he just stumble across the postcards and thought they were clever? Did postcards have some special meaning to him and if so, what?
A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
I know he sent greeting cards frequently, but wasn’t the pines card the only one close to a postcard that he sent?

I think you are right. Thanks for the clarification.

Now you bring it up though, Zodiac made that card himself, to the point that he glued down all the art on the front. The back, however, is of an actual postcard.
I wonder, did LE ever scan underneath or use some form of x-ray to see what card he stuck it all on top of…?
If it was a postcard he purchased or got from an establishment, there should be a description on the back of what is on the front. If it was a plain postcard such as can be purchased at the post office, then the back would be plain as well as the front.
It would be very interesting to see what if anything was on the front of that postcard.
You’re all assuming he sent it.
Here is the postcard as it would have been purchased:

Nope.
The SLA one being the least but it was still a card so it qualifies, kinda. The Pines card and the Pace card are similar to each other in their ‘paste-up’ construction and the Pines card and the Badlands card (more often referred to misleadingly as a letter) because they are both on actual postcards.
Thanks for posting those Traveller.
I had forgotten the others.
Does anyone know if they ever looked under the cut outs stuck on the pines card?
I know the yellow book says that they peeled back the skeletons and such on the halloween greeting card, but nothing much is said about the others (Granted I take RS with a grain of salt)
