So I’m extremely new to this relative to most of you. I’ve spent some time looking at posts on the forum before signing up, but there’s SO MUCH INFO!! It’s amazing, but also forgive me if I’m rehashing something here.

I have questions about certain patterns I’ve noticed. The pics I’ve attached are screenshots from David Oranchak’s explorer… I started noticing that certain symbols strongly favor the left or right side (if you ignore the last 6-7 lines of text). I may be stretching here, but that seems like it means something?? It also suggests to me the last several lines may be a separate piece or are complete gibberish… I find it interesting that the left side symbols seem to nearly disappear in the bottom section.

Are there transpositions that would create this within the text? It could be confirmation bias, but I tried to replicate this in the 408 and couldn’t get a similar result.
Does this suggest two parts of a cipher, one on the left and one on the right? Have I been staring too long and fallen victim to pareidolia?

Would love feedback from people who have been working with this for awhile.

Welcome to the forum Larabeth. I looked into your observation and put up some sorted tables with all the data.

For example K: +27 (7), where K is the symbol, +27 is a right side leaning score and (7) is the frequency of the symbol K.
Another example l: -25 (7), where l is the symbol, -25 is a left side leaning score and (7) is the frequency of the symbol l.

Average horizontal leaning of the Z340 is on par with the Z408 so it should be possible to reproduce your observation in the Z408 also. I don’t see much out of the ordinary. Z340 has a low average vertical symbol leaning. Both the C and reversed C symbol in the Z340 lean vertically to the downside and are ranked #1 and #2 on the table. Z408 has the following vertical outlier: _: +53 (8).

Thanks!!! I appreciate it. It’s nice to be able to knock it out based on statistical analysis and move on to the next thing.
