Hi,
I hope you’ve all had happy and peaceful Christmas days.
Some time ago I started to develop a new little tool. Basically it is based on my ACME statistics tool, but it is much leaner and simpler.
What’s it about?
Often you need test ciphers and have to create them in one way or another. I have some very useful CSharp libraries, but a GUI is simpler and easier to use than pure source code. This is exactly what the new tool "Cipher Factory" is all about. That’s what it looks like:
With the track bars in the upper region you can configure the key. Then select your desired plaintexts in the list on the left. Use the track bars on the right to set which criteria should apply. Only ciphers that match all these criteria are written to files.
The output are numeric ciphers. The "Smokie-Mode" creates .csv-files, which can be opened with Excel.
So far it is only a fairly limited version, because I don’t invest a lot of time in z340 at the moment. When I have time, I will add more criteria, two keys e.t.c. If you find the tool useful and have any suggestions, please let me know.
At the moment there is no status output. Depending on the selected criteria and the number of plaintext files, it may take a while for the tool to run through. So just be patient. Besides, I haven’t tested it very thoroughly. But hopefully strange bugs shouldn’t appear any more.

Have fun!
Hi Largo: Thanks for the new tool. I especially like the smokie mode!
Looks neat Largo. What about allowing some randomness in the keys?
