I was taking a gander at the police reports for the confirmed Zodiac crimes. It occurred to me that while the three couple’s cases offer long reports (60, 75, and 35 pages), the Stine murder has only a two page report. I was wondering why this was, if anybody knows or has a guess.
All the best,
Shiznats
The reason why the police report is only two pages long is because neither Fouke or Pelissetti could get their facts straight about what they did or didn’t see, not to mention the fact Zodiac was stopped and let on his merry way, throw the calamitous mistake of the negro male adult escapade into the mix and you have only scratched the buffoonery of that night. Even 38 years later 3712 Jackson Street rears it’s ugly head, another invention that clouds the nonsense even further. Let’s be honest here Zodiac could have escaped the scene in an ice cream van, hooters blaring, tossing hundreds and thousands onto the sidewalk and he would still have melted away into the night.
Pelissetti’s report was written only a few hours after the murder. They didn’t know that Z was the killer. People need to keep this in mind.
It’s not that THE report from SFPD is two pages long – compared to much longer reports from the other jurisdictions. It’s what Tahoe says above: They haven’t released the rest of it, it’s as simple as that.
UKS: Love your acerbic analysis of Fouke, et al.’s incompetence! ANYONE in the vicinity of a reported homicide should have been stopped and questioned. Instead, the cops waved toodle-oo to Z, and drove off into the sunset–or, should I say, sunrise? And, as far as that two-page report goes…. If there is more info that could be released, why, after all these years, hasn’t it been? Pardon my crudity, but I think it’s a case of SFPD covering its collective ass.
