I assume he means this one:

I discovered this book by reading about it on comedian Tom Voight’s subversively comical website actually run by Graysmith himself. All you do it search Robert Graysmith and go to his self titled website and you’ll arrive at partner Tom’s website.

Tom portrays a guy who pretends to have written Graysmith’s work and you need to have your own copy of Graysmith’s book to follow along with the mysteries Tom imagines. It really is fun to play along with the gag.

Tom, like the supposed Zodiac lives with his mother and has many of the same habits, so it’s not surprising that Tom may actually be a character in a play to create more discussions about Graysmith’s writing.

The book is thick with info as is the humorous website based on the book. Graysmith while very serious in his investigations is not so full of himself as to poke fun by creating controversy with his website.

Enjoy this book as all my students have.

But I shouldn’t presume to assume, should I.

It got my vote but I avoided assuming. Thanks for the assist glurk. ;) I should add, in the vein of all things Zodiac …. A.Customer in itself is kinda Zodiacy. A friend, A Citizen etc etc.

Yup. Purposely so would be my suspicion though.

Found another Amazon review from A Customer that made me shiver:

1.0 out of 5 stars hot shot, August 22, 2003
By A Customer

This review is from: Looking For-Best of David Hasselhoff (Audio CD)
I now own three CD’s "looking for – Best of David Hasselhof (which is an import – i.e. I imported it from elsewhere) David Hasselhof – The very best" and "The best of David Hasselhof"
I also own a table, a chair, a tea set left to me by my gran, a curtain, three pair of underpants, a small fridge that doen not work, a black and white television, a bicycle pump, a shirt, two pairs of grey trousers, a tin of sweetcorn and a hedgehog shaped shoe scraper. I own a knife a fork and a coffee cup, a tie (black) a pair of odd socks and a pair of matched socks, one cassette of calming sounds designed to help me stop smoking (I have never smoked) a newspaper from june 1987, a carrier bag from the co-op, a plastic wallet in which I keep my bus pass and any money I ever obtain through whatever means (usually favours to desperate men), a towel, a bar of imperial leather dating from 1996 and a pair of brown shoes.

I think when I get a cd player I will like this album most out of all of my posessions because the reviews of it are so good.

If I ever have any more possessions I will try to let you know.

I expect the song "hot shot city" is particularly good

Why shiver? A vaguely amusing review by an older (pensionable age) British man with a sense of humour and a better writing style than the other guy. Good use of commas. I doubt he’s killed anyone lately – although the "favours to desperate men" bit -and it should have said "for" – does make him sound like an ageing rent boy. *shrug*
I’m not sure looking through Amazon reviews will necessarily lead to the capture of The Zodiac Killer, personally. I may be wrong.

It was mostly the suspiciously positive review of a David Haselhoff album that gave me the shivers, smithy. Actually, it is from a page that Amazon has featuring some of their products with the funniest reviews. Quite hilarious actually… I ran across the review by A Customer completely at random. Different guy in all likelihood- just had to share. I’m reviewing other Amazon products though for any Zodiac connection while Christmas shopping for my kids. The reviews were so stellar, I’m considering getting them each that Hasselhoff album. ;)

E., damnit, having had another look I think there’s just a chance you might be right. Z’s taste in music would have to develop from Gilbert & Sullivan through to David H. eventually. No brainer. ;)

Sorry Dan I though that because you said the review was by ‘A Customer’ that here would be just one review under that title and assumed it was the first one I came across:

"I find this is a good follow up read to Graysmith’s other Zodiac book. In order to fully appreciate it, you must read the earlier. Yes, the information is already available in other formats; and yes, he leans towards Allen to the exclusion of others. But, the evidence appears almost overwhelming, and he uses it well to prove his point."

My mistake.

I did the same thing WC.

I read the first one but then thought. This doesn’t sound very Zodiac, am I missing something lol? So I then went "a-scrolling in the gloaming".

It’s embarrassing to have to admit that I had to look up gloaming. But when I did something curious turned up:

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gloaming

Take a close look at definition #2 and take note of the origin of the word:

Gloaming:
n
Poetic twilight or dusk
[Old English glōmung, from glōm; related to Old Norse glāmr moon]

So, Trav, it appears you like to spend your evenings "a-scrolling in the gloaming", do you?

Just on weekends?

Do you carry a penlight (pen-torch)?

Say "shall" much?

Actually,

It was an obscure reference to something that Billy Connolly jokes about regarding traditional Scottish singers.

Well there’s just no excuse really is there for such blatant complacency in assuming things all over the place? In Texas they have executed people for far less!

:-)
