If you don’t get the chance to read all harvey’s works (don’t blame you) i think the best way i can show Harvey’s downfall in 68 is the first picture shown below.

If we are to believe he was cyclic bipolar i would suggest he had multiple waves off mood, I find his switch between depression and mania to be repetitive pattern over a three to four year course, with certainly a Diural rapid cycle during the most stressful anxious phases. This same man by 1973 was in a good relationship, had bought a home together for it to sour badly only soon after.

Given this and that he was a " known" non drinker i can only say that his mental situation was dire and uniquely worse for him, alcohol worsened the diurnal aspects causing a rather lonely man to enter manic depressive even dilusional detached phase in the lonely hours of the night.

His drinking was medicinal to him in treating his social anxiety and general anxiety.

Whilst Harvey strongly disputes it he was said to have been born with congenital syphilis but seemingly did not display huchingtons triad that is rather synonymous of the disease. If true it may answer the question about his mental state but i am not well read in regards to "old world" disorders.

Any questions about harvey or even the unique similarities between zodiac and harvey just ask. On this front i am rather certain it is a perfect match with what one should expect the zodiac to be like.

68 moderate mixed episodes, sense of hopelessness, disgruntled about the world – start of the bottom is Aug 9 68
69 – manic depression, alcohol issues, anxiety displays escapism in his writings
70- Remission, his situation isn’t ideal but has hope, whilst he is drinking daily i assume the calmative effects of alcohol is aided by the up swing.
71 productive , stable, busy with work – i think he finally received disability pension
72- enters a relationship, decent enough that a woman would buy a home with him
73- owns a home stable normal
74- dystima anger starting again.
75- partner runs away hiding from Harvey.

Yep and we see in his return to sender letters that he tried to lure them back with "silver coins" and all sorts of manipulative ploys, But the woman ran from him, if he found their address they moved.

We haven’t yet been able to find any of these women to ask about Harvey.

Harvey’s Mother remarried with a Marshall, As we have seen Harvey was unusually close to his mother.

The possible Rick Marshall connection is of interest to myself, there are many coincidences.
