Yes, Harvey’s step father was Edward E. Marshall. He owned and operated the Marshall Shingle Company in Oakland, California. Harvey was employed by the Marshall Shingle Company in February 1953 for an unknown length of time. No, you must have missed the post where it was confirmed it did indeed burn.
I thought it had, but wasn’t sure. I think Sandy’s POI was involved in some fire and I thought perhaps that was what I was thinking of.
Harvey’s military records were destroyed in that 1973 fire. I apologize if I’ve been unclear. There are copies of them from his files but I don’t think it is all of them.

Any mention of the Santa Barbara murders in his papers? I thought he might have made some note of it considering he was living there at the time.

To relate with you Snoopy I find Harvey’s varying character inline and in tune with that of the Zodiacs. His writings dated in the late 60’s have a certain eccentric flows that mimic in time and location to the Zodiacs own.
The understanding of Harvey’s eccentric “out there” writings are complemented immensely by chronological happens of The Zodiac.
Repeat that part, the dates of Harvey’s eccentric writings which are with in days of Zodiac events are enhance and are given meaning. In a nutshell If Harvey was the Zodiac then it was simply a linguistic thought experiment envisioned by Harvey. His writings during this time have everything to do with the power of words and symbols.
The power of Zodiacs own letters (not the Ciphers) is linguistically packed that 60 years on these menacing letters continue to captivate and few understand or give it much importance when considering a POI.
The ebbs and flows of Harvey and the Zodiacs own is undeniable yet so hard to display. And it is especially hard to counter the very sever ingrained perspectives everyone has on what the Zodiac was or was not and having someone who see’s this is why I say hallelujah.
Look at the dates Harvey writes, put yourself in his shoes, wonder what he is obsessively trying to achieve and finally contrast Harvey’s writings with the doings of the Zodiac, it will blow your mind.
And what’s going on? That guy is very interesting.
