I believe he was one of the police who investigated the CJB murder. I think he was the one who took her diary home and kept it?
Granville "Bud" Kelley was a police officer/detective with riverside PD, he was a patrol officer in 1966 when Cheri was murdered
and at some point was the detective in charge of Cheri’s case.
He was arrested in 2011 and subsequently convicted of child molestation and sent to prison.
Google his name there are news articles about him on the Press Enterprise newspaper website.
Kelley has interesting parallels with serial killers like GSK (police officer) and BTK Dennis Rader (Deacon of his Church)
