Tell your friend not to worry, she lives completely across the US from NH now.
He moved to Hollis NH a few years later but he moved to New Orleans now. No Zodiac killers down there. Just a whole lot of alligators, and we eat them fried up nice with different sauces to dip them in.
As I look at different angles of the case I keep seeing information about what I’m looking for. The thing is the people on this forum have already looked at these things. And they were all over it years ago too. I guess that’s good for me, as it indicates that I’m on the right track. My thought process is the same. I just looked at unsolved lovers lane killings. Well you know in 2009 they were already in deep discussion about lovers lane leads. The other day it was the same deal, the welsh guy had posted all kinds of info on the 8 year old witness in 2013 or 2014. All I can say is you guys sure don’t leave any stones unturned.
For those interested in the 1978 letters and the 1981 Atlanta letter, you can see the thread here: http://www.zodiackillersite.com/viewtop … =78&t=1096
Cal DOJ expert Morrill said the April 78 letter was legit but SFPD has it as a hoax. But a hoax not because the handwriting didn’t match, but because it did match. But matched so perfectly they thought it was likely traced and thus likely a hoaxer.
One thing I discovered is that looking at two of the three 1978 letters and the 1981 letter, they all used stamps from the same series. Which could be consistent with them all coming from one person – but that one person could be the Zodiac or that one person could be a dedicated hoaxer.

After 1978 though, they seem to have proof positive this letter was not written by Zodiac. Forensics of later years out-trump Morrill’s opinion of this letter, imo.
Out of 10,000+ Morrill stated he looked at in regards to Zodiac, he was bound to be mistaken at some point, but with respect to Morrill–this letter could have literally been copied.
In a way IMO both TheForeigner and Tahoe are right. Or at least IMO both have reasonable points of view.
Morrill WAS right. The April 78 letter DID have Zodiac handwriting. But later examination (by SFPD or Shimoda from US Postal?) apparently showed that while the letters did match Z, some matched so exactly that they were likely created by tracing. The reasonable assumption seems to be that IF it was traced then it must be a hoaxer. Could Z, not wanting to reveal any current handwriting natural tendencies, have traced his own writing from 8 years prior? Interesting idea but probably a stretch. I think there was probably tracing and it was probably a hoaxer.
I wonder if the April letter possible/probable fake stimulated the real Z to write the unconfirmed May 78 and/or 81 letters. Whoever did these letters, real Z or fake Z, I think it was probably one person.
