The trail of death and carnage the Zodiac left makes it seem very probable that there is something in an old report sitting somewhere in a dusty file cabinet. Some piece overlooked evidence. A small clue perhaps. Maybe a license plate number of the suspects car. Somebody saw something, don’t you think. Every old notebook, report, anything at all that might hold a clue. With heavy workloads of cases to investigate it is easy for evidence to get lost in the shuffle. Also, with the periods of inactivity by the killer people tend to wane in the attention given the case. Other cases are also very important. The people didn’t have the internet either. Investigative techniques were sometimes long tedious processes that we can only imagine in this day and age. This idea of overlooked clues is not a new one. It’s just so exciting to think that there just might be a clue right under our noses, that can solve this most famous case.

I would say there is a probability of there being overlooked or unattributed evidence somewhere out there. There is likely evidence that has never been released as well.

Yes, unfortunately with so many different jurisdictions involved, many small pieces of meaningless insignificant evidence, as far as the individual that has this evidence is concerned, which might be of paramount importance to another investigator who uses the evidence to tie up a lose thread that only he is aware of. With the amount of pure paperwork this case generated it is impossible to disseminate every single iota of information to every single person working the case. Multi jurisdictional cases are always a difficult challenge.

Zodiac killed his confirmed victims with both a gun and a knife. He mentions the rope as another method, death being inflicted by strangling. With all the strangling murders during the 1960’s and 1970’s in California it seems very probable that he committed some strangling killings. I’m going to focus on some of the unsolved homicides by strangulation or hangings that appear suspicious. He may have strung people up, who knows with this vicious butcher.

You may like to start with the Pat Tan case. This has been linked to zodiac for a long time but all inconclusive. Lots written on this and other sites.

It looks like the Zodiac was up to his old tricks again, after everybody hoped and prayed he would stop killing. The case of Patricia Tan and a woman named Leona Roberts, who were both most likely killed by the Zodiac Killer, makes it appear that the Zodiac kept his word regarding his plans to keep on butchering and destroying lives. Letters were sent at the times of the discoveries of these bodies. It could be a coincidence, but with this monster involved, I don’t believe it for one minute. These crimes must be looked at again. In fact unless these deaths are looked at as Zodiac’s work they will never be solved. The only hope to solve the cases now, is to have a Zodiac connection. By following this trail of gore perhaps it will lead to a good DNA sample or a finger print, or a license plate number written in a notebook somewhere.

If anybody has seen the Japanese film series, Lone Wolf and Cub, about a famous swordsman and warrior, Ogami Ito. He travels around with his little son, who rides in a baby carriage. These movie are on DVD and are exceptionally good films. That’s where I got the adventures in butchery phrase. It’s from , Baby Cart At the River Styx. It was the first thing that popped into my mind after I first looked into this case.
