Hi. Does anyone have – or know if one is available anywhere – an image of the inside of the Halloween card that has one of those SFPD "ELLISON 1 INCH" scales in the image? There are images of the Z340 and the Pines card that show the scale in some way or other, but I can’t find one for the Halloween card. I’m trying to get a sense of its dimensions.
I’m sure the idea has been explored many times before, but I’m looking to specifically size the skeleton against the Z340 cipher, so:
But, of course, without some method of comparing scale, there’s nowhere to go with this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Shaqmeister …. I found an image with a ruler overlay on the envelope …. and a tiny scale on the outside and inside of the card. I can’t read it but perhaps you can. Interested to see what you come up with!
Margie, that’s amazing. Thank you. Just what I was looking for. The scale on both sides of the card is a one inch scale. You can probably just make out “1/2” in the middle.
Again, great help. Thanks!

Thanks again to Margie, I’ve been able to quickly scale up the skeleton from the Halloween card with the Z340 cipher. This is what he looks like. (Slightly smaller than I might have guessed, if I’m honest.)
If anyone else wants to play around with this themselves, you can pick up a Word document that I’ve put together from here. This is what I have taken the screenshot from. Simpy do whatever scaling you want (making sure you maintain all aspect ratios!) and then send the image of the card to ‘behind the text’. Then, play!

So, one thought that I did want to try out was just a little play on the ‘obvious’ clue from the text on the Halloween card, which seems to invite us to "peek a boo." There are, of course, perhaps several places within the cipher text of Z340 where something like "BOO" is tempting to explore (line 14, for example). My thought, however, was linked to the Bus Bomb letter, where Zodiac wrote:
Hey pig doesnt it rile you up to have you noze rubed in your boobos?
Even for the Zodiac, there are a lot of spelling "booboos" in this sentence!
Of course, there is also one obvious (and possibly deliberate) ‘booboo’ in the Z340 cipher. So, I wondered whether the invitation might not be to "peek a booboo."
The alignment is shown on the image as below, together with ‘an observation’, for whatever its worth. (Certainly, this gives me something to think about.)

Hi,
Does anyone know if there was already one eye in the knot hole of the tree on the original, unadulterated version of this card?
I’ve seen only one version alleging to be a best guess at the original and it already has one "primer" eye on it.
Thanks.

Does your solution point to the name Kit?

As far as I know, no one has been able to find a copy of the original unmodified card. I tried for a while to find it but failed.
I wonder why it is so hard to find.
Hi Doran,
The other day I saw what was purported to be a copy of the original in a Net search and there was an eye in the "knot" in the wood. I wonder if that is actually what the original looked like.

Great job and think that is what they was talking about and wanting to see! That said don’t believe Edwards was the Zodiac! Again great post!
Thanks Mr. Lowe. I think it’s extremely likely the creator of the video photoshopped those images (removing the Zodiac-added elements from the card). Hard to know for sure without a good source.
This is what it would have looked like originally (edited)
