To recap she was abducted from her boyfriends house at 749 Tormey Ave, Rodeo. Witnesses describe a young looking blonde man in a blue station wagon on the 10/12/1969. Sadly she was found dead on the 29/12/1969 West Side Bolinas Lagoon, Marin (Dropped from Bolinas Rd). Police belive she had been killed around 7-10 days earlier. She was found virtually naked (no evidence of a sexual attack) apart from a class ring she was wearing, which had been given to her by a friend. Her ex fiancé was at Vallejo high a year above David Faraday (obviously not him though, just mentioned for reference). Graduate from Napa high and attending K’s American Beauty College.
She had only reported visited her boyfriends house twice before so police believed that she been followed from elsewhere.
Her mother and father were separated, he lived at Twin Bridges Trailer park in Vallejo. Her mother who she lived with was at 1742 Third St, Napa, just over half a mile from where 3 months earlier Z made his Napa phone call after LB.
To put into context we have a 16 year old (Same age as Betty Lou Jensen), killed on nearly 1 year to date of Lake Herman Road. Wearing only a class ring (David Faraday was found holding his class ring in his hand). In direct proximity to one of Z’s known locations. With a direct tie to Vallejo also.
(The CGM was the address of Connie Gail Minchaca who went missing in 1978)

Not only a tie to Vallejo but did her mother work at Napa psychiatric hospital, too. Also, the place of abduction is close to LHR.

Unfortunately, we don’t know everything there is to know about Zodiac. He was unpredictable , even in the weapons he used. It would not surprise me to hear he did actually kidnap females from homes or murder some inside of their homes from time to time. One that I feel confident he killed inside of her home, was 14 yr old Jenny Lin in Castro Valley 1994. She was also stripped nude and not sexually assaulted.
The distance from where Leona lived and the phone booth where Zodiac placed his call after his Lake Berryessa stabbing ,was much closer I believe? I think it was more like 9 blocks apart. The car wash was at 1231 Main st next to the corner of Clinton and Main. I lived in Napa at that time and have been to where the call was made. 3rd st is a short walk from there.
That same Oct month about 10 days after Leona was taken, a person placed a call to the Jim Dunbar show. During the many calls the caller made, there was a muffled sound, like a females attempt to scream. When the caller was asked what that sound was? He said it was his headache making that sound.
I know all of you were told that the caller was "proven" to be Eric Weil ( Not sure of the correct spelling?) I have yet to see what that proof was? If you go to "You Tube", you can hear Eric’s voice and then listen to the Dunbar’s caller’s voice. No way do they match, not even close! I will always believe the caller was Zodiac and the scream was an actual female screaming for help. She may have been kept in the trunk of his car , during the calls?

Died 27th April 1971 aged 43, last residence was Twin Bridges Mobile Park, Vallejo. He seemed to die or a heart attack.

Her body is found two months later, yet the report says she was kept alive for most of that time and murdered 7 to 10 days before her body was found. Was a rape kit taken I wonder? Zodiac sends a letter six months after her abduction on 4-28-70 , her father is found dead in a hotel room one day short of the one yr anniversary of that letter. He was living at the same trailer park as the owners of the boat that Darlene and her sister Chris were on the night Darlene was shot.
I wonder why he was in that hotel instead of where he was living? There are drugs that can be administered ,that could mimic a heart attack. My name is mentioned in Darlene’s police report, I had reported a man who acted suspicious to me as a possible suspect , he was also a boilermaker like Leona’s father. (Interesting coincidences ? )

She was taken 12th Dec 1969. Police stated that there was no evidence of sexual assault. During the time she was missing we have the Belli, please help me I’m drowning, letter.
Her father was retired due to health reasons. Her mother was a Psychiatric nurse at Napa State hospital.
In August 1968 she had gotten engaged to Bernard A Pfister – 19/08/68 from (John A Pfister) 420 Gonzaga Ave, Vallejo. Vallejo high school graduate, employed at Levee’s department store. Father MINS Riger. But at somepoint it was called off.

You also have to entertain the ideas that Bennallack possibly was meant to be abducted. She obviously fought off her attacker which means that was not murdered immediately.

Tragically as in how soon he’d died after losing his daughter. No foul play suspected. He was only in his early 40s.
Maybe he had done some investigation on his own, meeting people in such hotel room, just speculation, of course.

His cause of death was listed as heart attack, as stated in this thread, but I wonder how much they looked into it? Don’t quote me on this, but I think he and Leona’s mother were separated when she disappeared, but still married. Maybe this is why he was in a hotel?
