A newbie here. The halloween card has been fairly conclusively linked to certain comic books here: http://www.zodiackillersite.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1275

Arthur Leigh Allen and his best friend, Harold Huffman, discussed comic books (in their youth), according to the latter’s son, Rob Huffman:

Of course very many boys read comic books at the time, but as Rob found it noteworthy, perhaps ALA was very big into them. I wonder if he did anything on the creative side as a kid.

Very nice find. I have seen some people claim ALA was too old to be into comics etc.

This thread is about when Allen was a youngster, not a full-grown man.

Every kid that age was into comics.
