Aside from the evidence that doesn’t seem to align with Allen, much like pedophiles, Zodiac was a silent watcher of others.

That article doesn’t say why the previous DNA test didn’t implicate Slazinski, nor does it say anything about the new DNA results, if there are any. All it says is that there’s a reasonably likely chance Slazinski committed the murder.
So I’m not really sure what this has to do with ALA. Certainly Allen was cleared on fingerprints, handwriting, voice, physical identification (aside from Mageau many years later and after what appeared to be a very hard life), et cetera. No one was even ever able to place ALA at any of the crime scenes. All they ever had was some sleazebag criminal’s self-serving claims and a superficially probative narrative from Allen’s erstwhile friend, who had very good reason to smear Allen.
I do admit that ALA does fit some if not many of the expected personality traits, though, and his residence inside Vallejo is pretty much what one would imagine with respect to the domicile of the Zodiac.
