Anybody know the 1969 Vallejo PD address? I know it’s on Amador St now, but I forget where it was in 1969. I have it someplace, hoping somebody can save me some digging

According to http://www.solanoarticles.com/history/i … 0_to_2008/, VPD used to be at the old city hall building at 734 Marin Street, now a museum.
The new VPD station on Amador was built sometime between 1948 – 1970 according to the article.

Thanks, I am confused by something in Graysmith’s book, he mentioned that Z could see the police station and Darlene’s house when he made his call from Tuolumne, but I dont think that can be true. Darlene’s house is less than half a mile from the phonebooth, but I think there is a development in between. At 1350 Virginia ST, was the County Sheriff in 1969. Darlene lived at 1300 Virginia.

Maybe he meant he could see the sheriff office?

Yah…goof on Graysmith’s part. He fixed it in ZU.
In 1969, Vallejo City Hall was at 734 Marin Street, the Vallejo Police Department was at 111 Amador Street, and the Solano County Sheriff’s Department was at 1350 Virginia Street.
The Vallejo Police Department was not far from Darlene’s house and the Solano County Sheriff’s Department.
