I was wondering if anyone has a better than 1500*2307 340.jpg found on the net.
Applying some photoshop filters uncovers nasty jpeg artifacts.

Hello again. As far as I am aware, and I have certainly looked, that image is the absolute best that is available. At one time, it was not even around, and we all had even worse images to deal with, and the
uncertainty about the cipher symbols that resulted. I too wish that a better scan were available, but I doubt that will ever happen.

If you mean who has the actual, original 340 cipher itself, I believe that it is in the possession of the San Francisco Police (SFPD).

I am not actually 100% certain of that, though. It could be with the FBI. There may be someone else on the board here that knows for sure.

Cool. Don’t know if that will happen but hey, you never know. Can’t hurt to ask. Maybe at the very least it will confirm if they have it.
