Thanks Richard what I actually meant was it common knowledge in the Bay Area ?one would have to believe so if papers in New York and Ohio were referencing it ?

It does seem unusual that newspapers in Ohio & New York could carry details the local newspapers were seemingly unaware of (unless somebody knows better). It only really matters if you are considering either the Fairfield letters or Halloween card as contestable Zodiac letters. Unless you have some other line of thought.
