Does anyone have the exact measurement of the precut lengths of rope reported in this case?

My reason for asking is that this goes back to my belief of Z being connected to a livestock ranch in some manner. Tie ropes were typically used by ranchers for their livestock and the typical length was 6 feet. It allowed them to rope the cattle with their lariat then use the tie rope to tie their feet together when they were going to brand in the field.

It wasn’t rope. It was plastic clothesline….for hanging cloths out to dry.

Is there anywhere that indicates how they were tied and what knots were used, if any specific knots were used that is? I know the report said zodiac re-tied the ties, so just wondering if he used a certain knot or binding method when he did.

It was hollow core plastic, right Tahoe? No interior rope in the middle, just the plastic?

It was white plastic hollow core closeline, just like what was taken from my yard in Napa the summer of 1969.
It was so smooth and white inside and out, that if you were to cut it the length of a straw , you could use it like one. ( That was to give you a better idea of what it was like )
The purp who took mine ,was nice enough to replace it about 20yrs later, to my new home in another county, just to remind me he was the one who borrowed my clothesline in 1969.
I had forgotten all about that, it didn’t bother me back then because it was only a clothesline after all. I didn’t think about it ,until he left me a new package on my front porch many yrs later. The person who took it would be the only one to have known that and it was important enough for him to remember it and who he took it from.

Just Yesterday I took Ricardo by my home in Napa, to show him where my clothesline was taken.
The clothes line that was taken was much longer than 6 feet, I am guessing about 30 feet was taken in about three 10 to 12 foot long lengths. Hard to remember exactly it was so long ago.

"If" it was my clothesline that was used at Lake B , he had to have cut it after he took it. I wonder if the police ever tried to connect the lengths to see just how long it was before it was cut into the 6foot lengths ?

One thing I noticed at my old home in Napa yesterday , was I that I didn’t see a light pole where the perp parked the night he followed me in the winter of 68. So now I wonder if there was a full moon that night , because I saw his face as if there was a light shining into his car ? That could narrow down the time frame of when that happened .

To quickly measure off 6ft of rope.. Take one end in your finger tips left hand run the rope through your right hand so your arms are outstretched crucifix style with rope running across your chest.. …About 6ft.. If you want a really good method of finding out what the moon was doing or what was happening on a particular day. Wolfram Alpha. Type in location and date ..it’s brilliant. It’s a free app.
Cheers

That method of measurement only works if 6 feet tall. Typically with arms outstretched from fingertip to fingertip is the same as a person’s height.
