I think this was posted someplace before, but I cant find it. How much was this hood & outfit like Zodiac’s?

It looks very similar for my money.
Zodiac’s hood – going by the infamous illustration, which was based on Hartnell’s description (but how accurate is it?) – was square, almost in the shape of a paper bag. This one resembles that. For my money the most typical executioner’s hood (which is clearly the inspiration) would be more rounded. But I guess it wouldn’t be wrong to say that his garb, including the hood, is pretty standard – given the premise, that he wanted to appear in the shape of an executioner.
John Simon was known as the Blue Hooded Bandit.
The hood was made of blue denim.
He was convicted on June 18, 1942, for robberies and assaults in the area near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
