In the 1966 photo, the first two houses to the right of the quad facing Terracna is 3680 and 3692. Thanks to monarch for sharing those pictures! The other homes were 3720,3732,3754,3756.
Thank you monarch for all those great pictures! I am only going by what I was told from the people who went to RCC and what I saw when I was there. That tower isn’t a extremely tall large building. It is the one that is shown next to the library in almost all the pictures you have shown, except the 1930 picture. Look for a tiny square pointed roof to the left and just behind the library, that is it. It looks pretty old from what I saw of it, it was locked the day we were all there. I am not saying I am right and you are wrong. It is what I was told by someone who went there.
The "bell tower" that has all the bells ,I have learned was at the other Riverside collage. Sorry I was confused between the two collages, that tower is the one that is 50 yrs old and larger than the one at the RCC quad.
To tell you the truth, the person who claimed you could see the crime scene from the quad tower has to be wrong, too many buildings in the way to see the crime scene. The area close to it maybe, but not the scene its self.
I do appreciate all the work you have done to get all of those pictures, thanks. I would love to see a blow up of the 1966 one you have.
Sandy, the 1966 photo came from the website http://www.historicaerials.com go to the website and type in the search box "3680 terracina
riverside ca" then click "Search" then click on the tab "1966" and you will be able to navigate through the aerial photos.
They also have photos from 1948 and 1967 as well as other years.
Thank very much for that link ! We have looked for a very long time to actually see the exact spot where Cheri Jo’s body was found. You were the first to show the aerial view we needed ,where we could see the two homes.
While I was there we figured out where we "thought" it was, but your map confirmed it. Thanks again.
