Well seriously, there is this guy (name below not automatically his) who is quite a nice match to the Z sketch. It is from p. 19 & 36 of the 1963 [corrected] Ramona High yearbook. So give him another 5-6 years to look like the sketch..not so bad imo.

I hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but I have little faith in witness sketches derived from recollections of frightening, stressful situations. When your life is in jeopardy, you have other things on your mind than widow’s peaks or the height, weight, etc. of your assailant. I’m not sure if there are studies available, but I’m wiling to bet that a witness would perceive his/her assailant as bigger and heavier than he actually is. Scary exaggerates, it doesn’t diminish.

No idea but I’d like to find out more about this guy. Couldn’t place him in the sf area, so far.

That’s fine…yesterday I had talked to a friend of mine, she does ‘family constellations’ for many years and always reads messages on the emotional level. In fact I was impressed about what light this perspective had thrown on Z’s behaviour (viewtopic.php?f=97&t=2758).

Personally I am convinced that Z (if confession letter is authentic) had known CJB. This friend of mine even went further and was convinced that he had not only been on the same school but even went to CJB’s class. She described him as being the rejected nerd. She said he had her under ‘control’ while being in the same class, later lost that control. Before she mentioned that, she had not known anything about the case or the later-to-follow ‘control’ letters at all.

I tend to agree with you, but in this scenario (where the sketch is derived), neither the kids nor Fouke were the victims…but I know what you mean.

All these photos of "guys who looked like the sketch" just prove to me how irrelevant the composite ultimately becomes. ;)

I just looked in the 1963 Ramona HS Yearbook for Riverside, and on those pages you mentioned, he is not shown. Did you accidentally look n a yearbook for Ramona HS in Ramona CA?

YEAR / SCHOOL / CLASSMATES page# / YEARBOOK page #
1963 / Ramona High School ‘Il Ano’ / 70+71 / 67
1963 / Ramona High School ‘Il Ano’ / 42+43 / 38+39
1963 / Ramona High School ‘Il Ano’ / 44+45 / 40
1963 / Ramona High School ‘Il Ano’ / 74+75 / 70

Couldnt find the pic on page 18/19 (classmates), possibly it was 1964..

Has a blue cover..best idea is to search for Robert W Pike, it will show up with Bob Pike then.

Robert W. Pike DOB 2/11/47 was listed at B St in RAMONA CA in 1972. He has zero records placing him anywhere in the Bay area. This is the risk of researching people only because ‘they look similar to the sketch’.
