A Linda Bates

Miss Mary Patricia Hautz became the bride of Melvin A. Chadwick at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church. Honor attendants for the couple were Miss Linda Bates and James Squires. Bridesmaids for Miss Hautz were Misses Tink Hautz and Delia M. Hautz.

Any connection between Linda Bates and Cheri Jo Bates, I guess? Sister? Cousin?

Still on the Hautz trail, eh?

Well, you’re persistent – I’ll give you that, and they do say persistence is key.

I think the one you want is the first one. Linda Lee Bates, b. 1948 in Riverside. She was in PH’s class, graduating in 1966, apparently – so that fits.

Relation to CJB, no idea. Perhaps none, Bates is a common surname.

EDIT Can’t be, on closer inspection. She was married to a guy named Bates, so unless he – which is unlikely – took her name, she was born something else and couldn’t have been "Miss Linda Bates" in 1969.
