i should have clarified. when i said "significant struggle" i meant an area of say ten or fifteen feet which would include the area where the watch was found. i know she struggled, but i don’t see signs of a struggle in the area around the watch (based on the photographs, which aren’t the best), and the area around her body while churned up (again based on looking at grainy photos) doesn’t show a wide circumference of obvious activity. it looks like he grabbed her and they struggled within a foot or two of where her body was found, which still leads me to question how the watch got ten feet away from her body. perhaps the simple answer is it came off as the assailant was flinging his arm.
Just found your POI on FB and yes, that is creepy about the watch logo, and also saw the towncar photo he liked on ebay.
