How do we know that the “little store” was located near the CJB murder scene?

Has anyone put any thought into “the little store” owners, employees, or someone hanging out at the store for pass time. Some or all of those persons would see the beautiful blonde walk by. Was the store always open as late as 7 each evening? Speaking of “each” evening, what were the occupations of the parent(s) that needed a babysitter each evening at 7? Guessing no one has info on anyone to do with the store as the exact store being referred to hasn’t been confirmed? Maybe someone in relation to the store would know that girl that walks down the alley every evening about 7. One would think that if she walked to where she babysat, then there’s a good chance she lived close to the store, if not she would drive if old enough to have a license. But none of this would matter only if the killer wrote the truth in the confession letter.
Or it could be that she is actually finished her babysitting job around 7 though.
Would that phrase cast doubt on the Zodiac being a homosexual?
It seems to me the answer to that question is that it doesn’t have to, but yes.
