"No footprints had been found"
Only point is that this discredits the argument that Riverside couldn’t be Z based on the boot print being half a size different than LB.

I noticed that too and all I can say is that because something is written, doesn’t make it fact. Even the DOJ report has errors. A lot of that is copied mistakes from other material.
With the CJB case, they mention very clearly the thread of the sole, the heel, etc. They mention a scuffle and blood trail so…?? That part of the article must be in error.
I still question why she didn’t walk right back into the library but rather walked off with somebody into the darkness.I think she knew her killer, whomever it was
I think they were going back to the library. They were walking back to the librarys general direction. I think they were just cutting through the row of houses as a short cut. I don’t think she just accepted a ride from someone. She wouldn’t have left her keys in the ignition, her purse and her books in the car. She expected to come back to her car.
Why would she follow someone back towards the library? Maybe because this person worked there and had keys to open the door and offered to let her use the phone?
According to this we can eliminate the option of her accepting an offer of a ride. She would have rolled up the windows and locked her car.

According to that article, the wristwatch was purchased at a PX at an overseas military base. Were people aware of that? Because that would seem to eliminate a lot of people.

True but like the wing walkers, just because someone has the item doesn’t necessarily mean they were in the military. LE seemed to heavily look into suspects at the nearby air base and nothing came of it.
An out of country watch AND the shoes make it a bit more believable. Not to mention the guy apparently went awol. So-to-speak.
It’d be nice to know where this "overseas military base" was located.

Yes, indeed,
the watch at the Bates’ homicide was traced to a military post, in England, if memory serves
the Wingwalker shoes were actually manufactured at Lackland,
not sure if any of this has been confirmed
I wonder if Ross was the Patton patient mentioned.
I was wondering the same.

There is more than one way to lose your life to a killer
