FBI mentions a 4/20/1969 two page letter (Q88, p56 of #5 of 6 in ‘FBI Vault’).
Anybody an idea which letter that is?

It can’t be the postcard of 4/20/1970, as it is listed as a separate specimen with a different number. Also, it is mentioned to be a letter not a postcard.
Anybody able to make some FBI request?

They just have the date wrong. Should be 4/20/70

If they got the date wrong, which I am not inclined to disagree at this point, they also got the number of pages wrong as well. There is only one page to the April 20, 1970 communication, unless, we are missing that second page. Not saying that’s the case. Just saying.
To add: Honestly, I don’t think it would hurt to just check and be thorough.

@soze There are two pages. [1] the first page is the text and code, [2] the second page is the bomb diagram.

I am rolling my eyes at myself. Lol. You are right.
@soze No problem Soze.

Dare to disagree:
– FBI gave two dates
– FBI gave two specimen numbers Q87 an d Q88
– FBI mentioned one to be a letter, the other one to be a greeting card (and they did differ the other ones, too)
– All other communication is compliant with the letters/cards we do know about
– FBI even refers to two different previous numbers “your item #4“…”your item #5“
Given these circumstances I think it is highly unlikely that those two specimen shall be one and the same. It’d be a huge error not only by that FBI bureau but also the previous office that obviously had transmitted the specimen (“Manilda folder”).
Possible they made such a mistake but as a particular Q number had been given to each, I somehow doubt it. At least the FBI says they have received two different ones.

Methinks it’s just a typo. Otherwise, you’d have a mystery letter that predates Blue Rock Springs and no mention of the “Name” letter.
