Hey Cragle,
Can you show the whole thing?
Thanks.
Any author name?
If you could show the whole thing that would be useful. In the meantime I noticed the shape of the k where, in one instance, it’s separated from the stem. That’s on the desk poem in the very first word ‘Sick’ … FWIW

That’s a good match, I think.
I came across an interesting letter last week from a Civil Air Patrol Encampment book. I noticed a few familiar writing traits in it.
The comparisons here are amazing. Many look like exact matches in my opinion. I’m no handwriting expert though, so what do I know?
Can you share more about who this is, or any information?
I came across an interesting letter last week from a Civil Air Patrol Encampment book. I noticed a few familiar writing traits in it.
I’m seeing more differences than similarities.
- The first f (or maybe it’s a t) is narrow and the parts above and below the crossbar are different sizes with different curves. The second f is much wider and the top and the bottom are much more symmetrical in size and shape. [/*:m:1cb7n2ed]
- The first M has a "u" shape connecting the two vertical lines. The second has a "v" shape. Not only do they not look alike, they can’t be drawn the same way. The u is drawn with a single, swooping stroke. The v has to be drawn with two motions – down, stop, then up. [/*:m:1cb7n2ed]
- The upper 2 is drawn like a Z with three straight lines. The lower 2 is cursive.[/*:m:1cb7n2ed]
- The lower 3 has a prominent upward hook at the bottom. The upper 3 doesn’t. [/*:m:1cb7n2ed][/list:u:1cb7n2ed]
Zodiac was a screwup. He left behind five breathing victims, two survivors, bootprints, possibly fingerprints and palmprints, tiretracks, eyewitnesses, and earwitnesses. If the APB had gone out for a WMA he would have been locked up in ’69.
And besides that, the letter has not been shown, yet, either.

*ZODIACHRONOLOGY*
I am no handwriting expert also so I will bow to peoples superior knowledge, The reason why this letter initially sparked my interest was due to the similar layout to the Red Phantom letter and references to physiologists.
The writing on the whole does not look similar to Zodiac’s but there are some letter familiarity.
I do not think it is Zodiac but thank you Cragle for posting the entirety. Always interesting to see new writings.
Sorry I going a bit off topic but this did peak my interest whilst looking at the letters. The misspellings Zodiac used did look very deliberate in my eyes. It was almost as if he would write the letters but leave spaces on certain words where he could go back and then deliberates add letters to make them misspelled. Also it looks as though he would squeeze letters into words
The "STAY OUT OF THIS ROOM" section of that letter reminds me of "DO MY THING!"
Yep, definitely more disparities than resemblances.
7 months ago, I made a list of all the zodiac’s "Editor" writings alongside the word "Editor" from the Riverside Patricia Hautz letter that was sent a few months after the Bates letters’ :
Hope it’ll help you or the Authorities out in solving this case, BTW I came across this yesterday: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/zodiack … ml#p135523 – Look at this John’s handwriting, it is very close to zodiac’s. And he went to Ramona High School in Riverside back in 1966. The "Y" in that "You’ve" kinda looks like that scribble at the bottom of the Bates letters.
(open in a new tab to view clearly:)
That’s my poi: viewtopic.php?f=96&t=4009
Curious how the word "lose" is underlined kind of in the same overkill way as "thing" in the Dripping Pen letter. In any case the handwriting looks a bit manufactured to me.
