I was chatting with Zamantha the other day, and happened to mention that, while doing some research in Petaluma regarding Kathleen Johns, I had found two articles written in the Petaluma Argus Courier. The first was from 12.21.68, which reported on the shooting on LHR. The second, a follow up article dated 12.22.68, mentioned that David Faraday had lived in Petaluma before moving to Vallejo in 1965. Zam suggested that I post it here. So, now that I am a new member, I thought it would be a good first post.

I have looked around, and haven’t seen this on any of the other boards, so maybe this is new info?

I don’t know what – if any – importance this tidbit may hold, but who knows?

always

Thanks!

David Faraday was born in and lived in Marin County, more specifically San Rafael, before he moved to Vallejo in 1965.

Petaluma is in Sonoma County.

You’re welcome Traveller1st. I agree with you . I’m not sure what it is about seeing original news articles or newsreel footage, but I get a bit of a rush when I see it, no matter what subject it’s about. I was at a dinner party the other night and got into a great conversation with a guest about old photographs of family members. We both agreed there was something eerie and enjoyable about seeing images from a time long since past, little slices of a reality that we had lived, frozen in time.

Thanks!

I was always under the impression that the Faraday’s moved to Vallejo from San Rafael, as it says in the Marin Daily Independent Journal article and other articles. But it does seem as if they moved from Petaluma to Vallejo. I was able to find them in a 1965 Petaluma Polk’s Directory. The family did live in San Rafael in 1963, there was no 1964 directory available for San Rafael or Petaluma.

Neat find, Always Looking!

Polk directories are a great source of local information. Love them! :D :D :D :D One of the things I personally like about them is that they reference the person’s type of work – as well as place of employment – at the time of the listing. Clews, clews, and more clews (lol)!

Thank you for posting the directory listing Seagull.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info about Dave. I agree, the Polk’s directory was a stalker’s delight(or a zodiac researcher’s ;) )
