In the BRS Vallejo PD reports, it states there was a letter sent in:

7-25-69 Anonymous letter received:

"To whom it may concern

There is a young man who used to live in the pink house bordering Lake Herman.
His name is Charles XXXXX. He is around 22 and is short and heavy set. I do not know
if this boy still lives at this residence or is guilty. I do know that he is off balanced by things
that he has done in his past and very capable of commiting the murders that happened in the area
and at Blue Rock. If he is innocent, I will not have hurt him-but he if were guilty and another person
died, I would never forgive myself. Please check this man out!"

First I had read about this. The entire page is an interesting read.

–The report goes on to say Mike didn’t believe him to be the guy. The house was vacant and padlocked, with no trespassing signs, no hunting, etc. WAS THIS HOUSE OCCUPIED 6+ MONTHS PRIOR TO BRS?

If by some chance whoever killed Betty Lou and David WASN’T Zodiac, could Mike’s opinion of this guy have deterred LE from looking further into him in regards to Betty Lou and David?? I sure hope not…
