I’m in South Lake Tahoe right now and was just walking around. I found a motel that I thought was interesting. It’s called Paradice Motel (spelled that way) and it’s only a couple blocks from where the Sahara was (now the Hard Rock). There is a sign at the entrance that says “Welcome to Paradice “. I can’t find anything that says how old the motel is but the sign style looks 60ish. I’m not sure if anyone has posted about this before and I’m sure there’s a good chance it’s all a coincidence, but still interesting.

Very interesting. My poi was staying there when he met up with me (unnanounced) and my ski bus on a trip to Heavenly Valley some time prior to 1981. We drove there and I waited in the car in the parking lot while he changed for dinner. Can remember all details like it was yesterday! Have fun!

yes this postcard looks exactly as the place did when I was there circa 1978. And my poi parked his car where the white station wagon is in this postcard (closest to the road/highway). His room was the one on the end (in front of white station wagon) or possibly the adjacent one to the left. I was staying with the ski club at a motel in Reno and he took me there to change after we left the Paradice and then out for the loveliest dinner at a Victorian restaurant that was away from the outskirts of Reno. I was amazed at how he found the restaurant in what looked like an old house and he said he just asked around or found it driving around.
"Susie" originally came up with the idea that there was a "Paradice" Motel in South Lake Tahoe. This actually was the first reference to that word as Z had used it. Later, it was figured out that this motel was bery close to the Monte Verdi Apartments (where Donna had moved in before disappearing). Posted about this as early as in 2013.
Now there is some ‘update’:
According to the following link, Donna had actually stayed just around the corner of that motel, at 4054 Highway 50, South Lake Tahoe. THUS, the distance from where Donna had previously been in South Lake Tahoe to the Paradice Motel is not even one block to walk.
