wouldn’t describe those ‘f’ as candy, rather a better match to the f’s in e.g. the Belli letter. HOWEVER this ‘f’ differs, too, as it goes under the writing line in both cases.

Other letters imo are a knock-out, such as the S in ‘Stephen’, too curvy, the number 5 – which is different to e.g. the one written on LB car door. M is no match at all either (compare to ‘Blue Meannies’), the letters a, l and r are slightly better. ‘J’ and ‘y’ of ‘July’ are no match at all, again, imo. Also the ‘P’ is clearly different, e.g. when compared to the ‘Press Enterprise, Riverside’ envelope. Also lacking of Z’s tendency to write slightly towards the right side.

Overall I’d say his handwriting shows – due to being written in block letters – some coinciding features, mainly at letters which are not easily written in multiple ways (e.g. the ‘r’), however not enough features to say that it could be Z handwriting. I’d say the small ‘a’ is the most interesting one but others could actually rule him out, if going for the handwriting only, especially if taking all letters as a full picture.
