Hello Everyone – My name is Phil and I’ve been long interested in the Zodiac. I was a boy living in El Cerrito, CA when the Zodiac was active. He had us all a little scared. I had a lengthy school bus ride home from school in El Sobrante. After the Zodiac’s school bus threat the ride home seemed to take forever! We had several church/school picnics at Blue Rock Springs Park during that time frame, but I don’t recall hearing anyone discuss the Zodiac murders that took place there. I do more reading than posting, but I look forward to interacting with Z-searchers here in a polite and collegial manner. I am a clinical psychologist and practice neuropsychology by trade. I’m reasonably normal so I hope you won’t hold it against me. I don’t have a big ego and I play nice with others. If anyone has questions about psychopathology or brain-behavior issues, I will be glad to assist where I can. I look forward to meeting you all. God bless!

Welcome…jump right on in! :)

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

Welcome Dr. Phil! I don’t think we have had a psychologist on the forum as yet, not a bona fide one anyway! You just might be asked a few questions. Feel free to ask questions, too.

Hi Dr Phil,

Welcome!! I am certain I will have questions for you.

Best regards,

G

P.S.: I, too, explained several times to the nice people here that I am normal and that I am the doctor. They said okay and gave me this nice white jacket to wear. The sleeves are way too tight, but my office has nice bouncy walls, so I feel safe. Maybe we can get adjoining offices.

Welcome, Doc! There are a number of us here (not me, of course!) who need our skulls candled. Joining our forum may turn out to be a wise career choice for you. :D

Quote of the year. I’ve never heard that before but it made me laugh. That’s so cool it should be a t-shirt. :D

That really is a brilliant expression. It is the first time I heard of having one’s skull candled. The phrase certainly conjures up a few picturesque images in my dimly illuminated cranium.

But, my eyes being as dimly lit as the inside of my skull, when I first saw it written I had to double-check whether I was reading "need our skulls candled" or "need our skulls candied". One letter difference.

No doubt my skull would benefit from both operations.

Of course, in the latter case, I am not sure who could possibly be persuaded to partake in that particular confection.
