Hi Everyone! The Zodiac killer is a bit of a family obsession starting with my Grandfathers 1971 low budget exploitation film "The Zodiac Killer". The movie was was conceived as the ideal bait for the actual killer and a trap was laid at the premier in San Francisco. To cut a long story short the trap yielded a suspect that has been otherwise missed or passed over by the many different investigations into the case. To this day my Grandfather believes his suspect was the killer. Though he continued to investigate his suspect for years afterwards his family and business commitments eventually forced him "off" the case. The re-release of the movie has brought renewed attention to the suspect and story. I think this forum is a great resource and look forward to connecting with folks are we continue to research the case and my Grandpas suspect.

Welcome. Interesting, We’ve been wondering who his suspect is… especially after seeing a picture of Earl Van Best in a recent commercial for his film. Any info/insights you are able to share would certainly be appreciated.

Good to have you here. Hope you don’t mind me re-sharing your photo!

PizzaMan, great having you here. I have spent many many hours trying to figure out who Tom’s suspect is. Had some ideas, but no luck really. I am looking forward to the upcoming documentary and will be purchasing a Blu-Ray copy of your grandfather’s movie in the near future.
