Today I received back extensive information on Kane from one of my many FOIA requests regarding him. The U.S D.O.J has sent me copies of his full and complete arrest sheet, along with much much more!
15 pages in all, and having had a brief once over, his arrest record lists each arrest under the name he was using at the time of arrest. He was arrested in numerous States, under numerous alias’s. Here are the State’s in which he was arrested, the date of each arrest, and the name which he was using while arrested. (I shall post the actual Documents when I can access a scanner.)

The FBI report seems to suggest that his real name, or at least the name by which they refer to him by, is Lawrence Kaye (It states in the file they sent me, quote: Advised that Kaye uses the alias KANE.) I have his personal description also which is as follows:

Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Date and Place of Birth: 4-26-24, NY, NY
Scars and Marks: Sc on Forehead, scar on wrist.

Listed on the twp page arrest sheet for Kane, are the crimes for which he has been arrested, aswel as the outcome at Court. These are just a few:
Battery, 2 Counts.
Conspiracy to defraud.
Grand Larceny (twice)
Burglary (twice)
Disturbing the Peace.
Peeping in Windows
PT Shoplift
Theft
Ill use of Credit Card
Prowling
T of personal Property.
He was often given probation and when he did get given 30 days jail, 60 days etc, it was always suspended for 2 years.

Thanks Deb, and yes, it has taken me filing at least 3 FOIA requests for Kane, Klein, Cane etc but finally, they found the records for the man I wanted.
Soon as I get access to a scanner Deb, his two page arrest sheet will be uploaded along with the other Info. Try and do it ASAP.

I had not heard of Skyland NV so I looked it up. It is right in the area of where he last lived, just north of the town of Zephyr Cove. I am surprised that his occupation is listed as realtor because background checks are done before a license is issued. Though I suppose since 1980 was before computers and he used so many aliases, his record may have come up clean. It looks like during this time he started calling himself Cane, too.
The areas are more like housing subdivisions. Zephyr Cove is a small town, but most of the mail goes to Zephyr Cove, NV 89448 since one can only have a PO mailing address…no home delivery.
Skyland is one of these subdivisions. They have the most tacky entrance. lol Some really nice houses, mixed in with older mediocre homes, although back in the 70’s it was probably a nicer place to live. The condo he lived in at Cave Rock was up the road probably a mile or so…and we also know he lived in Round Hill which is probably a mile before Skyland.

Tahoe, I have the document regarding the prints comparison and can’t make head nor tail of it to be honest. In it, I am not sure if the FBI are stating they compared the prints of Kane/Kaye with suspected Zodiac prints, or whether they are stating they simply located the prints that were being requested, and gave them to the requesting Parties. I think it’s the latter because it states:
"The photographs of the latent fingerprints provided by the Ident. Division were also given to Captain *Redacted*, Vallejo"
This document showing they sent the prints was not, it seems, common knowledge because at the top of this document its labelled ‘Memorandum.’
They have also sent me his FingerPrint file Name/or Number, the Filter File Name.
Also, who was the Vallejo PD Captain in 1991? I ask because his name is redacted in the Doc but states that it is he that requests the prints of Kane and a comparison, and, Quote: "Cap *Redacted* requested the fingerprint comparison be performed as soon as possible."

I’m thinking Conway, but I’m not 100% on that.
I also don’t know if they compared to any Zodiac prints. I only know they compared to prints on Bryan’s car and those may not have even belonged to the perp. We’d sure like to think they did a comparison with the cab bloody print and letters.

Well that’s what is again slightly confusing. At First, the document starts by stating that Vallejo PD have re-opened their Case File on Zodiac in light of a suspect coming to light, Larry Kaye. On Jan 10, 1991 Captain *redacted* of Vallejo Police Dpt advised that Kaye has a history of sex offences…." etc etc.
Then, a few sentences later, it states:
"Captain Conway requests the above examination and further asked that it be conducted ASAP."
The name isn’t redacted here in the 2nd mention of ‘Captain’ and that’s what made me wonder whether it’s two different people (One Conway, the other *Redacted* or if it’s one and the same man and if it is, I don’t understand why they start out by Redacting his name only to leave him non redacted a few lines later. Mistake on their behalf maybe??)

I suppose whoever was doing the redacting may have made a mistake and missed one instance of the name. Conway was the one in charge of the Zodiac investigation at that time and it would make sense that he was the one to request print comparisons.

I was going to try and request a copy of his social security application, but I was worried that I wouldnt have enough correct info to do a proper request
